Solera Downtown Mina at Raha Island is a private beachfront inspired advancement by the RAK Properties, presenting best in class studios to 3-bed apartments and penthouses in Ras Al Khaimah. Dusk falls here on the Island, a lighting that occurs only on the northern shore of the Gulf, when mountains begin to blush amber, and when the harbour takes in the last glow of light in long copper streaks. This newest statement is not simply a testament to a contrast between modern urban and rural life, but one that accentuates both, inspired by the city’s shifting heart on Raha Island. This is a place where great boulevards, carefully planned public spaces, and simple elegance converge. The building’s architecture is its first, most immediate statement of intent. In the words of the design story, this is an era when design is thoughtful and understated. Coming with undulating balconies forming a ribbon across the façade, organized but flexible, that occasionally catch some light and playfully play with shadows as the clock ticks. Residential offering six configurations from efficient, style forward and premium variants sit between. Each layout has spacious, open, light-filled proportions and a reference to traditional spatial detailing at ease to provide a classical waterfront approach. Inside, the restrained, and totally driven approach is continued. Living rooms open up in rich, neutral hues, brass-toned coffee tables, and floor-to-ceiling glazed rooms.

The beachfront lifestyle is more intended to design within the façade to have a pleasant environment all round. Access to the entire vistas along the ocean and city, where the open kitchens feature book-matched marble islands, integrated wood-panel cabinetry, and recessed brass hardware that draws the light without dominating it. Same restrained sophistication – upholstered headboards, walk-in dressing areas, full height windows make morning light a part of the room’s architecture in bedrooms. Even bathrooms are designed with the same restraint and charm as the exterior, with every surface selected to appear practical, unadorned but reverent, with soft travertine shades complementing the soft double stone sinks and a shower detached from a ceiling column with subtle softly lit, mirrored walls.

This idea of quiet confidence is best captured in façade’s amenity programme. On the podium level there is a 40-metre infinity-edge lap pool; which is surrounded by a separate dedicated kids pool with splash pad, as well as BBQ, dining and social area space within the Solera Flame Pavilion for those who prefer to keep their social activities at home. On the other hand, there is a dedicated garden to slow down use of the outdoor space, along with an outdoor gym and yoga pavilion, a dedicated co-working space, a jacuzzi, hammock garden and for them who have created this community around all generations of people, a skateboarding park. Completed by the private vibe, an alternative work, meeting and relaxation zone, this is juxtaposed by the rooftop, which offers a peaceful deck designed specifically for yoga and contemplation, set above the city’s hustle and bustle.
